How do warehouses work?
Every company has one called Main. Extra warehouses are a paid feature, and pickers appear once you have more than one.
Every company starts with one warehouse called Main, and all stock sits there until you add another. Adding more warehouses is a paid feature.
Once you have more than one active warehouse, a warehouse picker appears on the screens that move stock, and Stock by warehouse shows where everything is. With only one warehouse, none of that clutters the screen.
Two other things worth knowing:
• Staff can be confined to particular warehouses. They see only those, and cannot add, rename or retire any warehouse.
• If the paid feature ever comes off your plan, nothing is lost or merged. Your existing warehouses keep working exactly as they are — you simply cannot add new ones.
Still not sure? Ask it in the chat in the corner — no account needed, and a person answers whatever the assistant can't.
How do I move stock from one warehouse to another?
Inventory → Stock transfer. Pick From and To, list what is moving, and post it. A transfer posts no accounting entries.
How do license agreements and royalties work?
One licence agreement per licensor: the products covered, the royalty on each, and an optional fixed fee.
How do units and pack sizes work?
A unit is a name and a short form. The bigger pack — a box of 12 — is set on the product.
How is the cost of my stock worked out?
Stock is valued at weighted-average cost — the running average of what you have paid for it.
