Which report answers my question?
Statement for one account, Trial balance to check the books, P&L for profit, Balance sheet for position.
• Account statement — everything that happened on one account, with a running balance. Use it for "what does this customer owe me?".
• Trial balance — every account's closing balance in one list. Use it to check the books hang together.
• Profit and loss — income minus expenses over a period. Use it for "did we make money?".
• Balance sheet — what you own and owe on a date. Use it for "where do we stand?".
• Profitability — margin by product or sale.

How do I see how much stock is in each warehouse?
Stock by warehouse: products down the side, warehouses across the top, as of a date you choose.
How do I see which products or customers make money?
Profitability shows gross profit grouped by product, by customer, or by invoice, over any date range.
How do I settle a small difference left on a customer or supplier balance?
Clear a rounding remainder, an agreed discount or a bad debt with Settle difference, rather than leaving it on the statement.
My trial balance does not look right
Balances are calculated from the entries themselves, so a surprise is almost always an opening balance or a date filter.
