What is the bell at the top, and why is there a number on it?
Notices from your sister companies and your Trade Network, and it only counts what you have not read.
The bell collects things other companies have told you about. It is not an alert about your own books — nothing you post ever appears there.
Two kinds of thing arrive:
• Trade Network — notices from the companies you trade with.
• Sister companies — items from companies linked to yours. These are for the account owner only.
The number is what you personally have not read yet, so it goes down as you read and it is yours alone — a colleague's bell can show something different. Something that has changed since you last looked counts as unread again, so it comes back to the top rather than hiding.
Opening an item takes you out of the panel and onto the real screen.
Still not sure? Ask it in the chat in the corner — no account needed, and a person answers whatever the assistant can't.
